The Run Ends

Reading FC's amazing unbeaten run ended last night at Luton.

The 3-2 defeat (despite Kevin Doyle scoring after 18 seconds) ended the run at 33 games.

How do I feel? Slightly disappointed but not much. The run was going to end sometime and Luton on a Friday night was probably the kind of game it would happen.

I'm more disappointed by how poorly they played. Too many players were well below the standard set in the rest of the season.

Positives from the game - only the two goals for Doyle, really. He will be a star next season in the premiership and for Ireland in their European Championship qualifying campaign.
